Free Study

 "Just Hanging Out" - Matt
This little guy was a little smaller than a pencil eraser.  He sat and waited patiently while I took all the pictures I needed.

"Three" - Matt
Here he is, three months old.

"Contemporary Apartment" - Mike
I thought this one looked very different and interesting.
22 mm, f/5.6, 1/500 sec., ISO 400

"Logan River in Flood Stage" - Aaron
I shot this one with my cell phone camera. I thought it turned out pretty well. Almost HDR-ish. Shows what you can shoot when the light is just right. The water in the lower left corner is actually on the road I am standing on. Too bad I didn't have my big camera with me. As they say, the best camera is the one you have with you.

Self Portrait - With a Prop

"Me and Mt. St. Helens" - Cary
Does a volcano count as a prop? It's five miles away but any closer is complicated. We traveled out to the Pacific Northwest (it was considerably cooler and wetter there) for a visit with my brother and to see the Olympic Peninsula. See some of my Olympic National Park shots below in the Bonus Pics section. I think I might have worn out the green on my camera sensor.

"Me and My Trumpet" - Mike
I don't play very much anymore, but I thought it would be fun to get out for a prop.
50 mm, f/2.8, 1/13 sec., ISO 400

Bonus Pics:

"Extreme Green" - Cary
The Hoh Rain Forest in the park is an amazing place. I never knew moss could grow in so many places.

"Silky Stream" - Cary
You cross this stream on the hike to the Sol Duc Falls in the Sol Duc River Valley. Tripods and long shutters make for nice shots of streams, I think.
E-3 w/ 12-60mm @ 23mm, 0.6 sec @ f/16, ISO 200

"Sunny Beach" - Cary
The sun does shine on the Olympic Peninsula now and again. We stayed here in a cabin at Kalaloch Lodge. The beach was endless fun for the boys and for me.
