"Bedroom View" - Cary
The first remodeled room in our slow home make-over was the Master Bedroom. Angie was the designer, I just followed orders. I was going for a balance between the ambient light from the windows with my flash so it looked all very natural. Maybe a bit too much flash but I was pleased that the shadows were mainly only due to natural light sources.

"Stairs" - Matt
Tried different rooms in my house but couldn't come up with anything. Finally, I decided on the stairs. Nothing too exciting, but it was a good exercise trying to balance the different lights.

Next Week's Challenge:
Southern Shots17 February 2010 - Weekly Photo Challenge: "CD Cover"
Due: 24 February 2010
The final assignment from the "strobist" blog.
Remember, the point is to use some man-made lighting scheme. You have three choices for the cover. From his blog:
CHOICE ONE: JAZZ/DEBUT/EASY GOING:
• New artist. No one knows them. (You'll need to shoot a photo that does not assume prior familiarity.)
• They can be an instrumentalist of a vocalist. You can include the instrument.
• Personality: Laid back, and hoping to be the Next Big Thing
CHOICE TWO: ROCK / MIDDLE CAREER / BORDERLINE PSYCHOTIC
• Established artist. We all know him/her.
• You may include a guitar or not.
• Personality: Psychotic, person your mom warned you about as a child.
CHOICE THREE: AGING VOCALIST / RETROSPECTIVE
• Think "Greatest Hits" here. We all know and love this person, and you can assume extreme prior familiarity in your photo.
• No instrumentation.
• Losing it fast, but resting on past laurels for one last album. Next surge of popularity not scheduled to occur until shortly after death.
